High level Q&A about Canadian Grants for ERP projects

High level Eligibility requirements?

In aggregate, we’ve seen that you need to be a Canadian company incorporated for at least 2-5 years); have a minimum of 5-15 employees; and a minimum revenue of $500,000; additional requirements may include being within a specific industry or region.

Can you get a grant for current projects or past work?

Sorry, No. These grants are typically designed for future work and must be approved before the project starts. That being said, a Phase 2 of your project may qualify.

How long does the Grant application process take?

In talking with various Grant consultants, we’ve heard the application process can be 2-4 weeks, and approvals between 2 weeks and 3+ months depending on the nature and size of the application.

How does payment work?

For approved grants, most funding programs typically require the submission of paid invoices after the work is completed. Yes you have to pay Endeavour in full. Most of the grants are designed to reimburse you for a percentage of the project within a few months. This reimbursement is typically where the Grant Consulting firms ask for a cut, though some also require upfront fee. Please plan for the added burden on your cash flow as your AR team awaits for the government grant reimbursements.
